Precautions for use

Shelled Marjoram essential oil is authorized for everyone except pregnant women under 3 months and babies under 3 months. All ways of use are possible. However, skin application should be diluted on hypersensitive skin. Its use in high doses and over a long period presents risks such as addiction, drowsiness and nephrotoxicity.

Be sure to seek medical advice before use for people with asthma.

Skin application

Be sure to dilute the essential oil to 50% in a vegetable oil before any skin application for hypersensitive skin (50% essential oil in 50% vegetable oil).

Contraindications

Shell Marjoram essential oil should not be used in cases of acute hypotension.

In high doses, Shell Marjoram essential oil can cause drowsiness and dizziness.

Used over a long period of time, it presents a risk of addiction.

This essential oil presents a risk of nephrotoxicity after ingestion in high doses and over a long period.

Allergenic components

Shelled Marjoram essential oil contains allergenic biochemical components:

  • limonene (≤ 4%)
  • linalool (≤ 3%)
  • citronellol (≤ 0.5%)
  • eugenol (≤ 0.2%)
  • citrals (neral + geranial) (≤ 0.2%)
  • geraniol (≤ 0.5%)

Properties of Shelled Marjoram essential oil

Shelled Marjoram essential oil is highly concentrated in terpinen-4-ol, alpha and gamma terpinene but also in thujanol. These different molecules give it the following main properties:

  • calming ++++ (monoterpene alcohols, monoterpene carbides):

    marjoram essential oil contains high doses of terpinen-4-ol, as well as sabinene. Both are muscle relaxants par excellence.

  • anxiolytic +++ (monoterpene esters, monoterpene alcohols):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil is a powerful anxiolytic thanks to its direct action on the central nervous system. It inhibits the neurotransmitters responsible for arousal.

  • antibacterial, anti-infectious +++ (monoterpene alcohols):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil is very active on staphylococci aureus which are responsible for many infections, and on pulmonary, digestive and urinary diseases.

  • neurotonic, parasympathicotonic +++ (monoterpene alcohols, monoterpene carbides):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil is stimulating, thanks to the close percentages of alcohols and monoterpene carbides, providing a stimulating/calming balance.

  • analgesic ++ (monoterpene alcohols):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil has analgesic properties suitable for treating muscle and joint pain, and also painful periods.

  • immunostimulant + (monoterpene alcohols):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil strengthens immunity in the case of ENT infections (angina, sinusitis, otitis, etc.).

  • antiviral + (monoterpene alcohols, monoterpene carbides):

    shelled Marjoram essential oil is effective against the cold sore virus.

But also these secondary properties:

  • diuretic
  • spasmolytic
  • brain tonic
  • physical tonic
  • antifungal
  • stomachic

In case of' Sexual obsession

Simple use

Suitable for adults. Through the skin, massage 1 pure drop of Shelled Marjoram onto the solar plexus.

Use in synergy

Suitable for adults. Other essential oils can be effective in cases of sexual obsessions and can act as an anaphrodisiac, Sylvester Marjoram or Myrrh for example. Shelled Marjoram can be combined with the latter in synergy. Apply to the solar plexus when you feel the need.

  • 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 1 drop of Myrrh essential oil
  • 3 drops of Argan vegetable oil

Against the Gastritis

Efficiency: ++++

Simple use

From 3 years old.  Orally, 1 drop of Marjoram with Shells on a neutral support 2 to 3 times a day.

Use in synergy

Reserved for ages 6+. 4 to 6 pure drops in the mouth or in a little honey 3 times a day after a meal.

  • 2 mL of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 2 mL of Peppermint essential oil
  • 2 mL of Cardamom essential oil
  • 2 mL of Roman Chamomile essential oil
  • 2 mL of apricot kernel vegetable oil

From 3 years old. Through the skin, 1 drop of Marjoram with Shells in 4 drops of vegetable oil, massage the thorax, when you feel the need.

Use in synergy

Reserved for ages 3+. Apply the mixture to the chest when you feel the need.

  • 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 1 drop of Green Mandarin essential oil
  • 3 drops of Argan vegetable oil

In case of' Anxiety, Stress

Simple use

From 3 years old.

  • When inhaled, 1 pure drop of Marjoram with Shells on the wrists to inhale deeply, 3 times a day, until improvement. Take a one-week break after three weeks of use.
  • In broadcast, pour the number of drops indicated on the instructions. Broadcast in blocks of 30 minutes maximum.
  • Through the skin, 1 pure drop of Marjoram with Shells massaged on the solar plexus.

From 3 months.

  • In broadcast, pour the number of drops indicated on the instructions. Broadcast in blocks of 15 minutes maximum.
  • Through the skin, 1 drop of Marjoram diluted in 4 drops of vegetable oil massage on the solar plexus.

Shelled Marjoram or Petit Grain Bigarade?

Shelled Marjoram will be particularly effective in cases of stress, but if you also want to enjoy a fresh, flowery and vitamin-filled smell, consider using Petit grain bigarade. Inhaled, 1 pure drop of Petit Grain Bigarade on the wrists to inhale deeply, 3 times a day, until improvement. Take a one-week break after three weeks of use. When diffusing, pour the number of drops indicated on the instructions. Broadcast in blocks of 30 minutes maximum. Cutaneously, 1 pure drop of Petit Grain Bigarade massaged onto the solar plexus.

Use in synergy

From 3 years old. Apply to wrists and bring them close to your nostrils. Breathe deeply. Repeat 3 times a day. Also apply to the solar plexus.

  • 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 1 drop of Green Mandarin essential oil
  • 1 drop of Petit Grain Bigarade essential oil

And/or, reserved for those over 6 years old. In case of stress before a specific deadline (speaking, exam, driving license), prefer this formula to place on a neutral tablet and to let melt in the mouth 2 to 3 times a day the days preceding the exam and 30 minutes before.

  • 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 1 drop of Noble Laurel essential oil

In case of Depression, Depression

Efficiency: +++

Simple use

Suitable for adults and adolescents.

  • When inhaled, 1 pure drop of Marjoram with Shells on the wrists to inhale deeply, 3 times a day, until improvement. Take a one-week break after three weeks of use.
  • In broadcast, pour the number of drops indicated on the instructions. Broadcast in blocks of 30 minutes maximum.
  • Through the skin, 1 pure drop of Marjoram with Shells massaged on the solar plexus.

Use in synergy

Suitable for adults and adolescents. For skin application: place 1 drop of the mixture on the solar plexus and 1 drop on the inside of the wrists 2 to 3 times a day. If the depression is severe, have an energetic massage along the spine with 4 drops of the mixture diluted in 4 drops of vegetable oil, twice a day. For prolonged use or for sensitive skin, dilute in vegetable oil.

  • 45 drops of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 15 drops of Fragrant Verbena essential oil
  • 75 drops of Petit Grain Bigarade essential oil

Shelled Marjoram or Neroli?

In cases of depression or even depression, Shelled Marjoram can be effective. However, to go furtherneroli essential oil will be even more effective. This essential oil, scent of joy of life and love, is applied diluted through the skin at the rate of 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil on the inside of the wrists to breathe deeply and on the solar plexus, morning and evening. Take a one-week break after three weeks of use.

In case of Dyspepsia, Difficult digestion

Simple use

From 3 months.  Through the skin, 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram in 4 drops of vegetable oil on the stomach following each meal.

From 3 years old. Orally, 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram under the pure tongue or on a support following each meal.

Against the Nasopharyngitis, Cold

Efficiency: +++

Simple use

From 3 months. Through the skin, 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram in 4 drops of vegetable oil on the thorax.

Shell Marjoram or Eucalyptus Radiata?

Shelled Marjoram can be effective in cases of colds because it is both antibacterial, antiviral, immunostimulating and spasmolytic. However, the reference in this field is theEucalyptus Radiata. Orally, 2 pure drops under the tongue, or in a herbal tea (previously mixed in a teaspoon of honey or sugar), 4 times a day for 2 days. For inhalation, take 1 deep breath directly above the opened bottle, 4 to 6 times a day.

In case of Tachycardia, Hypertension

Efficiency: +++

Simple use

Suitable for adolescents and adults. Through the skin, apply 1 drop of Shell Marjoram essential oil to the inside of your wrists, then take deep breaths, as soon as you feel the need.
Shelled Marjoram essential oil can be used for support but medical monitoring is obviously essential in this case.

Shelled Marjoram or Complete Ylang Ylang?

Shelled Marjoram will be effective in cases of palpitations, hypertension or tachycardia, but the reference for this indication if you have it on hand iscomplete Ylang Ylang essential oil. Using the skin, apply 1 drop of Ylang Ylang essential oil to the inside of your wrists, then take deep breaths, as soon as you feel the need (medical advice necessary for long-term use).

Use in synergy

Suitable for adolescents and adults. With your doctor's approval, massage 5 drops of the mixture onto the solar plexus and/or the inside of the wrists. Renew the application twice a day. Take a one-week break after 3 weeks of use.

  • 30 drops of Shelled Marjoram essential oil
  • 10 drops of Complete Ylang Ylang essential oil
  • 10 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil
  • 30 drops of True Lavender essential oil
  • 20 drops (1 mL) of Argan vegetable oil

Against the Sleep problems, Insomnia

Efficiency: +++

Simple use

Reserved for ages 6+.  Through the skin, massage 1 pure drop of Shelled Marjoram onto the solar plexus.

From 3 months. In the same way as before, use Shelled Marjoram through the skin but diluting it in a vegetable oil, 1 drop of essential oil for 4 drops of vegetable oil.

Shelled Marjoram or Roman Chamomile?

Shelled Marjoram can be effective against insomnia, butroman Chamomile essential oil is even more effective. It can be used from the age of 3 months in diffusion for example, 10 minutes before bedtime or cutaneously, 1 drop diluted in 9 drops of vegetable oil, massage on the solar plexus and/or the soles.

Use in synergy

From the age of 3 months. Through the skin, massage 3-4 drops of the mixture along the spine, on the solar plexus or the soles of the feet before bedtime. Pregnant women can also apply it to the inside of the wrists, to breathe. In addition, it is possible to place 1 drop of Roman Chamomile on the pillow.

  • 10 drops of Roman Chamomile essential oil
  • 5 drops of True Lavender or Petit Grain Bigarade essential oil depending on preference
  • 5 drops of shell marjoram essential oil
  • 180 drops of apricot kernel vegetable oil

In case of Neuralgia, Pain of nervous origin

Simple use

From 3 months.  Through the skin, 1 drop of Shelled Marjoram in 4 drops of vegetable oil then apply to the painful area, 3 times a day until improvement.

Shelled Marjoram or Roman Chamomile?

Shelled Marjoram will be particularly effective in cases of pain of nervous origin. However, if you have Roman chamomile on hand, it will also be very effective. From 3 months and for adults, via the skin, dilute 1 drop of Roman Chamomile in 4 drops of a vegetable oil then apply to the area, 3 times a day.

In case of' Hyperthyroidism

Efficiency: +++

Simple use

Suitable from 3 years old, under medical advice.  Through the skin, 2 drops of Shelled Marjoram in 8 drops of vegetable oil massage onto the base of the neck.

Marjoram with Shells or Myrrh?

Shelled Marjoram essential oil can be effective in helping to rebalance the thyroid system. However, it is better to favor the Myrrh in this case. Cutaneously, massage 2 drops in 8 drops of vegetable oil onto the base of the neck.

Other famous applications of Marjoram with Shells

Shelled Marjoram essential oil is used on many occasions, particularly linked to its calming and anxiolytic properties, particularly on the nervous system. For most of the following uses it will be effective, but without necessarily being the best essential oil. We therefore indicate to you the best replacement for Marjoram with Shells for the following different problems.

Addictions

Shelled Marjoram can be effective but… there Hemlock will be favored. It is used in inhalation directly above the bottle, for example, when you feel the need.

Arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism

Shelled Marjoram can be effective but… l'Lemon Eucalyptus is undoubtedly THE reference for relieving inflammation and rheumatism. Cutaneously, 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil, 3 to 4 times a day on the painful area until improvement.

Bronchitis

Shelled Marjoram can be effective but… l'Eucalyptus Globulus is undoubtedly THE reference in cases of bronchitis. Cutaneously, 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil to apply to the thorax 4 times a day for 5 to 7 days.

Asthenia, Fatigue

Shelled Marjoram can be effective but… l'Black Spruce is a toning essential oil par excellence. Cutaneously, 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil applied to the lower back at the kidney level, 3 times a day. Take a one-week break after three weeks of use.

Flu

Shelled Marjoram can be effective but… it's the Ravintsara which is essential in the case of the flu. All ways of use are possible but must be adapted to the user. For more details, see the complete Ravintsara guide.
