Scars are formed following an injury to the dermis: the damaged cells then send a signal to cause the multiplication and migration of the basal cells of the skin. These cells will fill the lesion but will never completely regain all the functions of the original cells: which explains the absence of hair and the white appearance of the damaged areas. This whole process takes place well protected by a blood clot (a scab) which falls off once everything is repaired. Essential oils can be of great help in promoting the healing process and reducing its traces: for this, we will favor healing, skin regenerating, declerosing, anti-infectious and anti-inflammatory essential oils.
This article was updated on 04/04/2023To erase your scars, take your empty bottle, and add:
Cap (click!), homogenize then label your bottle. Your synergy is ready!
For skin application, place 2 to 4 drops of the mixture, 3 times a day on the scarred area.
You can repeat the application for 10 days if the scar is recent, several months if it is old.
In the event of a scar on the face or over a large area, do not hesitate to dilute it in a vegetable oil.
YES. Adults, adolescents, children over 6 years old.
NO. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 6 years old.
These precautions apply under the application and dosage conditions cited above. If in doubt, ask your question on our forum and consult your doctor.
L'italian Helichrysum essential oil is composed of numerous healing molecules: alpha pinene: ≤20% neryl acetate: 3 to 42% gamma curcumene: 4 to 20% italidiones: 1 to 15%.
These molecules promote the healing process in several ways: they maintain a germ-free environment, limit inflammatory reactions and promote the healing process by stimulating the synthesis of keratinocytes. Italidiones have a declerosing action: they limit the abnormal proliferation of tissues and make it possible to avoid the appearance of a hypertrophic or keloid scar and to treat such a scar.
Italian Helichrysum essential oil is also widely used for its anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its composition rich in neryl acetate.
L'fine Lavender essential oil also has molecules with a healing action but different from those of the other essential oils of this synergy. The linalool, linalyl acetate and beta caryophyllene present in this essential oil therefore reinforce the healing action of the mixture.
These properties are potentiated by the presence of anti-inflammatory components, such as linalyl acetate, and bactericidal components, such as linalool. This way, we can maintain a germ-free environment and prevent the spread of inflammation. These components are very versatile since they are also local anesthetic molecules which help to calm the small itching which often accompanies scars.
L'patchouli essential oil is composed mainly of molecules from the sesquiterpene family: sesquiterpene carbides and alcohols. These molecules are known for their anti-inflammatory action. Carbides such as alpha guaiene and alpha bulnesene inhibit PAF (platelet aggregation factor), a molecule involved in triggering inflammatory processes. Inhibiting this factor makes it possible to limit the passage of the various messengers responsible for pain, redness, etc. in other words, to limit inflammation and the pain that results from it.
By limiting inflammation of the skin tissues, the healing process is promoted. Healing molecules, such as patchoulol, can then stimulate the regeneration of skin cells: keratinocytes. These cells are involved in the production of keratin, a fibrous protein responsible in particular for the impermeability of the skin. Patchoulol is only present in Patchouli essential oil, which makes this essential oil essential for this synergy.
L'rosemary Camphor essential oil contains camphor (of course!), this molecule belongs to the ketone family and reinforces the healing and skin regenerating action of Italian Helichrysum italidione, as well as its declerosing action. That's not all since it also contains alpha pinene in greater quantities than Italian Helichrysum essential oil. This therefore complements and strengthens the pool of healing molecules involved in this synergy. Alpha pinene is also an effective anti-infective, helping to maintain a germ-free environment that promotes the proper functioning of the healing process. Its antiseptic action is reinforced by the presence of camphene, another monoterpene present in the essential oil of Rosemary and Camphor. The diversity of components that this essential oil brings to the synergy allows you to put all the chances on your side to fade your scars.
