Officinal Sage, not to be confused with Clary Sage, is an aromatic and decorative plant very widespread in the Mediterranean scrub. Little used in French cuisine, it is nevertheless known for its health benefits. Its essential oil is now reserved for sale in pharmacies, because of its thujone content, a ketone that is toxic to the nervous system during prolonged use. This is however not the case for hydrosol, whose thujone concentration is much lower, and which therefore presents much less risk! Used for its action on menopause, excessive perspiration or even for oily skin, Officinale Sage hydrosol has many properties! Latin name: Salvia officinalis Distilled part: flowering tops
This article was updated on 09/02/2023Due to the presence of ketones, a hormone-like action but also in the absence of in-depth studies on the hydrosol, it is not recommended for young children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also formally contraindicated in cases of hormone-dependent pathologies and mastoses.

digestive :
officinal Sage hydrosol has an action on hepatic, pancreatic and renal functions. It facilitates digestion, acts on the desire to snack, or even liver and kidney failure. It has a beneficial effect on the intestinal flora.
anti-oxidant :
sage Officinale hydrosol acts on the free radicals responsible for premature aging of the skin. It also has skin regenerating and astringent properties, making it an ideal product for mature skin.
